UT Southwestern Medical Center’s William P. Clements Jr. University Hospital Tower 3

PROJECT Overview

The 12-story third tower at UT Southwestern Medical Center’s William P. Clements Jr. University Hospital adds 715,000 square feet to the campus, significantly expanding its capacity and capabilities. This addition features state-of-the-art patient rooms, an expanded emergency department, advanced operating rooms, cutting-edge imaging facilities, and essential support services.

The project also includes two new parking garages totaling 727,200 square feet, along with a 70,000-square-foot renovation of existing space. Serving as the new clinical home for the Peter O’Donnell Jr. Brain Institute, the tower centralizes acute inpatient care, bringing these services under one roof for greater efficiency and improved patient outcomes.

By integrating these advanced facilities and services, the new tower enhances the hospital’s ability to provide high-quality, comprehensive care. This expansion not only increases the hospital’s capacity but also reinforces its commitment to delivering exceptional healthcare to the community.
