The Nashville International Airport Rental Car Facility features a three-level, 900,000-square-foot parking garage with a metal canopy roof and exterior pre-cast panels, accommodating 2,400 cars. A three-level atrium with 900 feet of moving walkways, six escalators, and two elevators connects this garage to an existing one. Attached is a 220,000-square-foot QTA (quick turn-around) facility for servicing 233 cars, including a 20-lane area with fueling, vacuum, and window washing stations, and a pre-cast canopy with storage for 600 cars. The project faced early construction challenges due to the simultaneous Terminal Access Roadway Improvement (TARI) project, requiring careful planning to avoid disrupting airport traffic. This project exemplifies constructing a large parking structure within confined spaces of operational roadways.
