DFW International Terminal D

PROJECT Overview

The two million square foot International Terminal D at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport features 28 gates, a three-level roadway system, and an integrated 300-room Grand Hyatt Hotel with a rooftop swimming pool. It includes 99 ticketing positions, a federal inspection facility for 2,800 passengers per hour, and the Skylink automated people mover station. The terminal offers a 100,000 square foot concessions area, a pedestrian sky bridge with 1,400 feet of moving walkways connecting to Terminal C, and an 8,100-space parking garage. Capable of handling 32,000 passengers daily, Terminal D also boasts an in-line baggage screening system, over 58 restaurants and retail outlets, a $6 million public art program, and various customer amenities. A key success factor was the first-ever co-located design and construction team on a major airport project.
