Baylor Scott & White Health decided to consolidate multiple satellite administrative buildings into one in the East Dallas neighborhood of Deep Ellum. The team aimed to create a well-being-focused, flexible space while maximizing the efficiency of each program. The project includes a five-story, 300,000-square-foot office building and a five-story, 351,195-square-foot parking garage that connects to Level 2.
This project was unique due to its location, bound by Elm Street to the south, Washington Avenue to the east, the future Central Business District Link to the west, and Landry Park to the north. Being landlocked and surrounded by highly trafficked areas presented logistical challenges, placing a high priority on the safety and security of the project team, trades workers, and the public. To maintain all streets open to traffic, Austin Commercial used three tower cranes to facilitate material movement with minimal disruption.
By overcoming these challenges, the project team successfully delivered a functional and efficient administrative building that supports Baylor Scott & White Health’s operations while enhancing the well-being of its staff and visitors.
