DALLAS - As a passionate supporter of the communities in which we live and work, Austin is proud to support local entrepreneurs in celebrating National Small Business Week, May 1-7, 2022. The event is intended as a time to honor and celebrate America's entrepreneurs, innovators, and the small businesses that make up the fabric of our lives. This year's theme, "Building a Better America through Entrepreneurship," celebrates the resilience and tenacity of small business owners that continue to do their part to power our nation's economic comeback in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Austin places a premium on embracing and supporting diversity and is dedicated to growing multiple MWSDBE firms. Austin's Mentor/Protégé Program works with minority-owned, women-owned, small, and disadvantaged businesses to help advance their initiatives through best practices, networking, and opportunities to work with Austin Industries.
Austin encourages the growth of minority/women/small/disadvantaged owned businesses by increasing and maximizing purchasing and subcontracting opportunities with Austin. The relationships created through this program are proven viable resources in recruiting, mentoring, and maximizing career opportunities.
