The campus commons area is designed to create a nexus between students’ social activities and academic lives. The university union offers amenities such as food service; indoor and outdoor dining options; space for campus activities including guest lecturers, plays and student organizations; and a conference center that will foster community activities on campus. The residence halls house 600-650 students in the center of campus. Each of the four residence halls that make up the Commons have either four or five stories and house 150-160 students, who will live in suite-style rooms. Some suites include a living area and every student has a private room with bed, desk and closet. Covered walkways connect the halls to the Union.
