PROJECT BRIEF

The McWane Walls project is located on several acres in the heart of the Fort Worth Cultural District, just south of Will Rogers Memorial Center, and on the western edge of the Fort Worth Botanic Gardens. The property was a foundry and had been used for temporary parking due to no-dig restrictions. The project transformed the neglected property into a 2000-space parking and RV lot with individual electric, water, and sewer hook-ups for 79 motor homes. Additional improvements included more than $1 million in landscaping and improved drainage to the Botanic Gardens, as well as room for future expansion in the gardens.

The scope of work included constructing a large system of cast-in-place (CIP), precast block and limestone retaining walls, dirt work and utilities, along with multiple acres of paving for parking.
