The FruCon-Austin Joint Venture was selected to perform EPC construction of a grassroots ethanol facility in Ravenna, Nebraska. This facility produces more than 84 million gallons of high-grade ethanol per year.
Austin had construction responsibility for civil, structural, mechanical (including piping and equipment installation), and plant start up. Onsite manpower peaked at 500 personnel, including subcontractors. The toatl recordable incident rate (TRIR) was .48 over the 833,718 work hours required to complete the project. Near flawless plant start-up and performance testing was accomplished within the three months of the Mechanical Completion date.
