Training
Austin Industrial seeks the highest level of talent in both craft and professional personnel. We provide a culture where employee-owners are encouraged and expected to enhance their skill sets and expand their expertise. In return, employee-owners enjoy opportunities for growth and challenge.
Austin Industrial was one of the eleven original contractors that helped to develop standardized craft training curriculum and was recognized as Contractor of the Year by the National ABC for our efforts. Today, through the National Center for Construction Education & Research (NCCER), Construction Maintenance Education Foundation (CMEF) and local ABC chapters, there is standardized craft-specific training available in more than 45 craft areas. Austin Industrial is an accredited training center and assessment site, a designation that allows us to administer the assessment using current Austin Industrial people and retrieve results directly from the national registry.
Austin Industrial employee-owners can take advantage of professional development opportunities through formal education, seminars (both internally and externally), conferences, and special work and/or training assignments. We also offer tuition reimbursement.
- Leadership Austin is a year-long program designed to develop future company leaders.
- Austin Industrial’s training manager annually designs a management training curriculum offering courses in topics such as human resources, leadership, negotiation, contract training, project control/cost control, communication and quality management.
- Courses are offered to help upgrade computer skills.
