Internship Program
Our internship program offers interested students the opportunity to grow their skills and develop an understanding of working with a major industrial construction and maintenance company. This “hands-on” internship offers a variety of opportunities to participate on a project while getting paid for your efforts.
You will interact with both project management and construction (field) management teams and learn from experienced Austin Industrial employee-owners. When you complete your internship with Austin Industrial, you will have a strong understanding of the day-to-day operations of a project and be able to apply that information to your classroom course work.
What to Expect from Internship
Our 12-week summer internship offers the opportunity to learn a full range of project responsibilities and gain practical, proven jobsite experience that will enhance your education when you return to school in the fall.
A typical internship consists of:
- Assignment to a project ranging from $1 to $250 million
- Working with leaders in the construction industry
- Learning the basics of costs, tracking materials, project coordination, safety and managing submittals
- Working with the field management team focusing on subcontractor management, quality control, material management and safety
