Austin Industrial Receives National OSHA VPP Star Designation
Austin Industrial recently received Star designation from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) through its Voluntary Protection Programs (VPP) at the Lubrizol facility in Deer Park, Texas. Lubrizol and Protherm were awarded Star designations as well. John Brightwell, Austin Industrial HSE / VPP manager, mentored Protherm's VPP efforts to establish its first VPP Star site.
Currently, this is Austin Industrial's seventh site to be entered in this program. Over the span of 16 years, Austin has had 14 projects in the OSHA VPP program.
"A special thanks to all site employee-owners for their constant commitment to Austin's safety process and for continuously working safe," said John Brightwell.
John Garrett, Lubrizol maintenance manager; and Joe McKee, Austin Industrial vice president, spoke at the celebration and confirmed each company's commmitment to safety excellence.
