Austin awarded maintenance services at Bridgestone tire facility
Austin Industrial transitioned a new contract with Bridgestone Americas Tire Operation in Wilson, North Carolina, and welcomed new employee-owners at the facility, including a new site manager, Edward Smith.
Austin is providing preventive maintenance technicians, machinists and battery attendants in all areas of the 52-acre site.
The Bridgestone operation in Wilson produces more than 28,000 passenger car and light truck tires per day, and is the only facility in North America that produces the "Run Flat" tires for Bridgestone. The facility has been in operation for more than 35 years and employs more than 2,000 Bridgestone personnel.
Transition team members include Jack Richardson, Southeast region manager; Johnny Coates, Southeast region operations manager; Melanie Hale, Southeast region health, safety and environmental manager; Rick Bubier, transition manager; and Eddie Howard employment office manager.
