Full Description:

The project consisted of remodeling 1,500 SF of existing space in the Ira A. Fulton Engineering School in the Goldwater Building on the ASU Tempe Campus. HPCI stretched a limited budget as far as possible to provide cooling and power for a 30 teraflop research computing facility. HPCI adds visibility and stature to ASU research and provide the computational engine for the “Decision Theater for the New Arizona”. This state-of-the-art cluster facility will accelerate research within the Fulton School of Engineering and support a variety of data analysis techniques including computational fluid dynamics, ocean modeling, design of nanostructures, bioinformatics and water resource modeling.
