The AMD Lone Star Campus will incorporate innovative lighting systems and climate systems to distribute natural light and limit energy consumption, while creating flexible and customizable workspaces; improving productivity. The entire campus is designed to achieve a Gold-level LEED certification. Environmental considerations made to achieve this certification are: the minimization of impervious cover by 20 percent below legal limits, systems designed to collect 100 percent of the site’s rainfall and a plan to regenerate lost native plant species over the next 15 years. The new campus will bring together AMD’s non-manufacturing workforce at a single location, enhancing the company’s successful innovation, collaboration and efficiency.
