The Austin Team brings a unique level of LEED and Green Building experience to each project. Based on our experience with Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) projects and certifications, Austin is prepared to make suggestions to the Owner regarding sustainable initiatives depending on the type of LEED certification being sought for a project.
Austin’s resume includes a multitude of landmark, precedent setting projects proving that this team is an expert in Green Building. We are proud to be the nation's first contractor to build a privately-held Platinum LEED Certified Building (McKinney Green Building). We are active members of the U.S. Green Building Council and have over 60 certified LEED Accredited Professionals or Green Advantage Certified staff members on staff, ready to provide solutions for the reduction of the consumption of goods/materials and waste production.
In 2009, Austin was ranked the top Green Builder in Texas by Texas Construction. The list ranks the top contractors, both publicly and privately held, based on construction contracting-specific revenue on projects that have been identified as having specific environmental, energy-savings, or sustainability standards.
