Austin Industries and its operating companies place a premium on embracing and supporting diversity and are dedicated to growing multiple Minority/Women Business Enterprise (M/WBE) firms. Our award-winning Mentor/Protégé Program, for example, works with minority-owned, women-owned and disadvantaged businesses to help advance their initiatives through best practices, networking and opportunities to work with Austin Commercial.

M/WBE firms participate in seminars that address such topics as contracts, insurance and bonding, bid and award processes, administrative and site logistics, how to get paid, lien rights and claims avoidance, safety, marketing, and technology. Austin Commercial enters into joint ventures, partnerships and staff augmentation with M/WBE firms and encourages minority purchasing by prime subcontractors and vendors. Austin Industries also helps under-capitalized M/WBE firms with innovative cash management strategies.

Austin Commercial as a Construction/Program Manager has exceeded established diversity goals by including M/WBE firms on our project teams. Austin Commercial recognizes that minority economic development is vital to the success of our business and the community.
