Austin Commercial completes Rental Car Center at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport
Austin Commercial has recently completed the Rental Car Center at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. This massive facility streamlines efficiency at the world’s busiest airport. Ten rental car companies share a 137,000-square-foot customer service area; improving customer service to the more than 2 million people who rent vehicles annually at Hartsfield-Jackson. To fully service world’s busiest airport, this rental car center is also equipped with 8,300 ready/return parking spaces, 1,300 surface parking spaces and seven quick turn around service stations.
Accessibility to the new facility is accommodated by an automated people mover station built into the CONRAC and road connections to the airport’s central terminal complex. A five-minute ride on the elevated automated people mover, the ATL SkyTrain, connects passengers to and from the main terminal building and CONRAC. The APM operates six, two-car trains. Each car can carry 50 passengers plus their luggage.
