The Eastern Extension is a piece of the outer loop around Dallas and its suburbs that connects Interstate Highway (IH) 30 to the existing President George Bush Turnpike (PGBT). Construction on the approximately 4.5-mile corridor is scheduled to begin in 2008. The project should open to traffic in late 2011.
