Constructed two steel truss bridges over Elm Fork of the Trinity River

Full Description:

Austin constructed two steel truss railroad bridges over the Elm Fork of the Trinity River. Project also included a 3 span railroad bridge over Regal Row with vehicular traffic. INNOVATIVE APPROACH: In lieu of trucking, Austin railed in the H piles, which allowed longer segments to be transported. This minimized the number so required splices and saved time. A process for locking and tagging out equipment was developed to eliminate long equipment transport each day resulting in cost and schedule savings.
