Faced with an aggressive construction schedule to complete Union Pacific’s massive Dallas Global Intermodal Terminal, flexibility and efficient project management were essential. By bringing portable asphalt and concrete plants on site and then using rail service to deliver aggregate to these plants, Austin Bridge & Road was able to control productivity and supply, completing 823,000 sy of concrete paving (approximately 170 acres) in only 6 months.
