Professional History

Mr. Leppert is the CEO of Kaplan, Inc., a diversified, multi-billion-dollar international educational services company whose business includes the dominant test preparation operation in the United States. He has 30-plus years of extensive leadership experience, including high-profile positions in the public and private sectors that span a range of roles – from corporate CEO to elected mayor of Dallas, Texas. Prior to his public service as Dallas mayor, he served as chairman and CEO of the Turner Corporation, one of the nation’s largest general building companies.


Mr. Leppert earned an M.B.A. degree with distinction from Harvard Graduate School of Business and is a member of the Harvard Business School’s Century Club, a prestigious honor selected by the faculty. He also holds a B.A. cum laude in Economics and Accounting from Claremont McKenna College.
